Brent MacGregor
Chief Executive Officer

Brent joined MDI in November 2020. Previously, Brent was the Senior VP Commercial Operations for Seqirus, from its inception in 2015 until 2020. He has also held roles as Head of North America for Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics and Managing Director ANZ, Managing Director Japan, VP Global Marketing, and Global Head Strategic Planning for Sanofi Pasteur.

Brent is a board member of Dynavax, a Hepatitis B vaccine company.

Brent has a BA in Political Science/Economics from Carleton University, Ottawa Canada, MA in Political Economy from Reading University, UK and an MBA from Kellogg – Northwestern University, Evanston IL USA.

Anita James
Chief Financial Officer

Anita joined MDI in May 2022 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing extensive senior finance and commercial experience in ASX listed environments.

Prior to joining MDI Anita worked at Pact Group Holdings Ltd, as General Manager Finance and Investor Relations, and other ASX listed companies in the mining and resources sector, including 12 years with the multi-national mining services Company Orica Ltd.

Scott Courtney
Chief Scientific Officer

Scott joined MDI in 2012 as Director of Research and Development and his role is to ensure the overall research strategy is aligned with the company’s 10-year strategic plan. This includes the development and implementation of more efficient processes to support current pharmaceutical manufacturing activities, as well as developing new and improving on existing medical devices that serve both the pain management and respiratory/COPD sectors. Scott has over 20 years experience in both Australian pharmaceutical and device manufacturing industries
 
Scott has a Bachelor of Science (with Honours) in Organic Chemistry, and a PhD in Bioinorganic Chemistry.

Neil Radford
Head of Operations

Neil joined MDI in March of 2022 as Head of Quality. In August of 2022, he transitioned into the Head of Operations role, with responsibility for Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain for the business.

Prior to MDI, he spent 26 years at GSK, in senior leadership roles across Quality and Operations at both a site and global level in the US, Singapore, Latin America, Europe and Australia. Neil also has worked with ASQ (American Society for Quality), the PDA (Parenteral Drug Association), and other industry organisations.

Neil has a Bachelor’s Degree in both Biology and Mathematics.

Tara Eaton
General Counsel & Company Secretary

Tara joined MDI in August of 2022 as General Counsel and Company Secretary. Her role involves providing corporate governance support to the Board and the organisation as well as supporting the organisation operate within legal parameters.

Tara’s career has spanned private practice law firms, non-governmental organisations (WHO and the Australian Red Cross) as well as a significant time inhouse in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to joining MDI, Tara has worked for Merck & Co Inc and Gilead Sciences. One of Tara’s most memorable achievements in industry has been helping to achieve the PBS listing of a Hepatitis C cure.

Tara sits on the board of Cerebral Palsy Support Network. She also volunteers for Natural Carbon, a charity seeking to empower indigenous landowners obtain carbon capture units for indigenous land care methods.

Tara has a LLB and BA (Asian Studies) from ANU. She also has a LLM from University of Sydney and Diploma of Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute.

Jane Fisher
Head of Medical Affairs & Clinical Development

Jane joined MDI in 2023. She is an experienced medical affairs and clinical research professional with a strong history of working in both the pharmaceutical industry and in non profits / academia.

Over the last 15 years, Jane has worked at numerous pharmaceutical organisations including Ipsen, UCB, CSL and GSK, across Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She has held various leadership roles, building and developing medical teams and driving data generation, including real world evidence generation.

More recently, Jane worked as Global Director of Cancer Research at Movember, driving its cancer strategy, and heading up the teams responsible for the Prostate and Testicular Cancer clinical trials, registries, and educational resources.

Jane graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a PhD from Monash University.

Chi Wai Ng
Head of Regulatory Affairs

Chi Wai has been with MDI since 2012 in roles of increasing responsibility and accountability in Regulatory Affairs and is now Head of Regulatory Affairs. She has been responsible for overseeing the successful marketing authorisation in over 40 countries for Penthrox and the range of medical devices. In her current role she is leading and developing a local regulatory affairs team with experience in achieving outcomes with both local and international medicines and medical devices regulatory agencies.

Chi Wai has over 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in roles of increasing responsibility in Regulatory Affairs and Leadership, overseeing marketing authorisations of medical devices, new chemical entities and generic products, ranging from early-stage development through to commercial product registration and reimbursement.

Chi Wai has a Bachelor of Science, a honours and PhD degree in Pharmacology, and a MBA.

Tony Wheal
Head of People and Culture

Tony joined MDI in 2023 as the Head of People & Culture. He is passionate about creating high performing organisations, thriving cultures and enabling business transformation and change.

He is an accomplished People executive who has had extensive experience across top listed ASX companies in the Health, Financial Services, Utilities and HR Consulting sectors.

Tony has a Master of Business in Human Resource Management, a Diploma of Management and Certificates in Change and Project Management.

Sindy Martino
Head of Commercial Operations

Sindy joined MDI in July 2021 as Head of Commercial Operations after a 25 year career in the pharmaceutical industry. She is an accomplished commercial leader with extensive experience in sales, marketing and general management and has a proven track record of commercial success and recognition through numerous industry awards.

Prior to joining MDI Sindy worked at numerous pharmaceutical organisations including GSK, CSL & Veriton Pharma (SERB Pharmaceuticals), holding various leadership roles across Australia, the UK and Europe.
 
Sindy has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nursing) and Graduate Diploma in Marketing.

Rebecca Morrison
Executive Support Manager

Rebecca has provided C-Suite level executive support to the CEO and the Leadership (Executive) team for four years.

Rebecca is an accomplished senior Executive Assistant, with over a decade of experience in senior administration across retail, mining, home décor and healthcare industries.

Rebecca has completed a double Diploma in Business Administration and Leadership Management.
